What’s the Difference Between Coaching vs. Therapy?
Coaching is NOT therapy. Coaching focuses on creating solutions by developing strategic actions that help the client move forward, while therapy typically tends to focus on healing emotional issues from the past. A coach works with you to look at your present situation to create new possibilities now and in the future. Unlike therapists, coaches do not diagnose or manage mental disorders. Clients can work simultaneously with both a therapist and coach.
How are Coaching Results Measured?
Coaching results are measured with internal and external indicators. External indicators include: improved performance, increased income/revenue/effective routines established, more time, clarity and commitment to goals, achievement of goals, more sleep, improved diet, improved physical health. Internal indicators include changes in self-awareness and aware of others, shifts in thinking, shifts in emotional state and confidence, increased energy, increased satisfaction and more happiness in life.
