Session Information
COMPLIMENTARY DISCOVERY SESSION
COMPLIMENTARY DISCOVERY SESSION Cathy offers a free complimentary in-person, phone or Skype consultation with no obligation, usually lasting about 30 minutes. This is required before any formal sessions can be scheduled. This is an opportunity to determine your priorities and see if Cathy and you are a good ‘fit’ for one another.
PRE-SESSION INFORMATION
If you have decided to pursue coaching with Cathy after your complimentary consultation, she will email you an information packet that includes:
• A letter confirming your appointment details and some useful information to read prior to your appointment
• A questionnaire for you to complete and email back so she can spend more time coaching and less time `information gathering’.
What to expect
Technology
Any coaching session can be held in-person, on the phone, Facetime, Skype. If you choose to use technology, please make sure that your space is private, quiet and comfortable.
Your first session
The first session always lasts 90 minutes. Cathy will begin by discussing the information you provided in your questionnaire as well as clarifying and defining your priorities so you and she can determine an appropriate strategy.
ALL SUBSEQUENT SESSIONS
All sessions are 60 minutes long . In-person sessions are held in Cathy’s New York City office, the client’s office or apartment, in a coffee shop or if weather permits in Central Park.
WEEKLY ASSIGNMENTS IN BETWEEN SESSIONS
Between sessions, you may be asked to carry out tasks such as completing worksheets, journaling, meditating or other assignments that will help you to reinforce new behaviors, attitudes and beliefs. The “homework” will be discussed in the next session.
Email support and ‘check-in’ phone calls between sessions are encouraged.
