- You’re brand new to sobriety, feel very shaky and think you might relapse
- You’re new to recovery, feel hopeful and really want to succeed at it

What is Substance Recovery Coaching?
In a non-clinical setting, Cathy meets her clients (and families) where they are, offering hope and supportive encouragement as they celebrate the victories and face the challenges of recovery. She helps clients recognize and manage those challenges in a way that builds confidence and self-esteem.
With a gentle and non-judgmental approach, Cathy brings empathetic support as she has strong recovery (since 2004) and understands the challenges first-hand. Her philosophy is to empower her clients to make healthy choices as they learn to get honest, develop self-awareness and take ownership of their life.
Cathy’s coaching encompasses and encourages:
- Gratitude while accepting, finding compassion for and letting go of negative self-talk
- Awareness of how stress impacts well-being and decision making; developing healthier coping strategies to promote self-care and relaxation
- Learning to recognize triggers that cause relapse and honor the steady process of recovery
- Seeking people, places and things that nurture recovery
- One or two weekly hour long sessions where she will re-enforce, review progress and address challenges as the client returns to the daily demands and routine of work or school, family and social life.
- Help to establish a solid foundation of community support through meetings, networking and outreach programs
- Email and phone support between visits
- Practices and “homework” to promote accountability
- Meetings with family members to assess boundaries and guidelines regarding
