A full-day program, this workshop has been created in order for participants to ‘lean into’ the grief which facilitates the healing. As we know “loss touches loss” and this can come in many forms including death of a loved one, loss of one’s health, relationship losses, major life changes, etc.

Self Kindness
Join Cathy for this one-day group workshop to learn how to cultivate self-compassion and kindness using meditation, daily life practices, group exercises and discussion. Self-kindness is an emotional skill that can be learned by anyone. Recent research has shown that self-kindness and self-compassion greatly enhances emotional wellbeing, reduces anxiety and depression, enhances coping, promotes health behaviors, and increases motivation.

Nothing can be more magical and relaxing than observing the beauty of Central Park in New York City while doing a silent meditative nature walk along its paths. Every season, (weather permitting), Cathy teaches this simple technique and then leads a Silent Morning Hike through the Park – stopping for snacks and reflection along the way (talking permitted!) This group activity is a wonderful way to ‘recharge’ from a busy week, exercise and enjoy the company of other like-minded people who seek peace and calm in the midst of this crazy, busy city!
